Nokia X6 16 GB in stores now

The Nokia X6 smart phone is perhaps the most advanced of all the phones in the Nokia Xseries lineup and is also the first Nokia phone to feature a capacitive touchscreen instead of the usual resistive ones. However, the original Nokia X6 had 32 GB of in-built memory and was therefore pricier than the newly released Nokia X6 16 GB which be comparatively cheaper and should hit markets worldwide immediately in accordance with Nokia’s planned Q1 release date.

  • Alcatel TCT is a Chinese mobile phone company that took over Alcatel-Lucent’s mobile phone division some time ago. Alcatel have long been known for their sturdy if feature-limited phones that are reliable and cheap. Recently however, Alcatel TCT and in fact other Chinese companies such as Huawei have been trying to capture some of the market for high-end smart phones and Alcatel recently introduced the Alcatel OT-808 and the Alcatel OT-980, the latter at the MWC (Mobile World Congress) held at Barcelona in Spain this February.

  • Casio G’zOne Brigade cellphone, one tough cookie

    Casio is a brand which is associated with things like wristwatches and calculators but Casio is in reality a Japan based multinational company that produces all sorts of electronic equipment including PDAs, cellphones, cameras, cash registers, handheld computers, digital diaries and synthesizers. Casio recently launched the Casio G’zOne Brigade mobile phone soon to be available on Verizon Wireless. The Casio G’zOne Brigade is also a PTT device which we will tell you more about below.

  • New LG Mini GD880 Smart Phone Review

    Scheduled to be available from March this year, LG looks to be serving up a rather different sort of smart phone, not unsurprisingly considering their other products such as the LG GD900 Crystal phone which we still remember fondly for its rather striking see-through touch sensitive keypad. With a host of other innovative devices, not just in the mobile phone industry, when LG releases a product you look at it every which way just to be sure you have covered all the features as we will do with the LG Mini GD880.

  • Apps censorship cuts 5000 from store as iPhone sales double YoY

    Apple recently made a decision to start culling their applications store and have removed over five thousand applications already for not being consistent with the new rules. According to chillifresh.com the new rules for iPhone apps strictly forbid any sexual content whatsoever regardless of whether it is an image, a silhouette, innuendos, content, etc. This news might well negate any positive reaction from a report by Gartner that shows that Apple iPhone sales have effectively doubled over last year.

    Sony Ericsson Vivaz and Vivaz pro smart phones preview

    In addition to the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini and mini pro smart phones, Sony Ericsson also showcased the Sony Ericsson Vivaz and Sony Ericsson Vivaz pro cellphones at the MWC. The Sony Ericsson Vivaz mobile phone is scheduled to be released in Q1 and the Sony Ericsson Vivaz pro is scheduled to be released sometime in Q2 this year.

  • Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini and mini pro mobile phones review

    Sony Ericsson were also quite active at the MWC (Mobile World Congress) held at Barcelona, Spain and on the 14th of February showcased the Xperia X10 mini and Xperia X10 mini pro cellphones. Both of these cell phones are compact versions of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 smart phone. While not cutting edge or high end mobile phones, both of these devices created a lot of interest as they both look good and if the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is anything to judge by will also be very good performance wise.

  • Microsoft Windows Phone 7 series, Adobe Flash and AIR

    By all accounts, one would find that users feel that Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.x.x is positively ancient, drab and even when made to appear to look good (for example HTC phones with SenseUI) has still very limited functionality and is not at all the thing. Microsoft it seems is ready to please the masses and recently introduced their new mobile OS, the Microsoft Windows Phone 7 series at the MWC (Mobile World Congress) held at Barcelona, Spain.

  • Samsung’s new Wave S8500 of smartphones with Bada OS

    The Samsung Wave S8500 is one of a host of Samsung’s newly showcased smart phones at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) being held at Barcelona, Spain. This year, like last year, Samsung pushed some boundaries by introducing some mobile phones with new and innovative features including the first ever usage of Super AMOLED displays in cellphones as well as the inclusion of compatibility for the Wi-Fi class 802.11 n and also, specifically in the Samsung Wave S8500 smart phone, the inclusion of Bluetooth 3.0.

  • Samsung I8520 Android Cellphone Review

    Samsung has been around in the mobile phone industry for a while and has been lagging behind other companies such as HTC and Motorola who have recently been creating much hype with their Google Android based cellphones such as the Motorola Droid or Milestone and the HTC Hero and ERIS. Not to be outdone though, Samsung was very active at the MWC (Mobile World Congress) held in Barcelona, Spain and launched a new mobile operating system, Bada as well as a host of new mobile phones including the Samasung I8520 Android smart phone.
