We reviewed the Motorola Milestone earlier this year and even now it is our belief that it is perhaps one of the best Android based GSM handsets available. Additionally unlike the Motorola DROID (the MILESTONE’s CDMA counterpart) which has been facing delays on and off for its much anticipated Android 2.1 update (update, Android 2.1 for Motorola DROID is rolling out now), the Motorola Milestone has an Over The Air (OTA) update available now. In fact, in the rest of the post below you will even find a manual download link to update your Motorola MILESTONE if you do not fancy OTA updates. (more…)

    LG Arena GT950 cellphone preview

At the CTIA Wireless 2010 event held in Las Vegas, LG showcased its latest products this past week and one of the cellphones that caught our eye was the LG Arena GT950 mobile phone. The technical specifications and features individually are good but not amazing as in the case of the Samsung S8500 Wave which features Wi-Fi 802.11 n, Bluetooth 3.0, Bada OS and a Super AMOLED display any of which would make a cellphone intriguing. Rather it is the combined package that you get with the LG Arena GT950 smart phone which has us interested and therefore this preview. (more…)

  • LG GS107 and LG GS155 mobile phone review

LG has been pushing its Cookie line to the fore recently but has also been releasing low cost, low feature phones from time to time. The latest to join this long list of low feature phones are the LG GS107 mobile phone and LG GS155 cellphone. Both the LG GS107 cellphone and LG GS155 mobile phone are GSM band phones and perhaps their best feature is their Wireless FM feature which we will talk more about below. Other than that the LG GS155 can be said to have more features than the LG GS107, the latter might be rivaled in terms of features by the Nokia 1110. (more…)

Palm Pixi Plus smart phone review

Palm has had its ups and downs this year, the release of the Palm webOS UI along with the Palm Pre cellphone and Palm Pixi mobile phone were definitely high points with all three of Palm’s products being rated highly. On the other hand, lower than expected sales along with diminishing market share over the years have combined to cause Palm’s shares to dip and traders to advise selling their shares. This has caused much concern and worry amongst Palm fans and lovers. We review the Palm Pixi Plus smart phone in this post as it is one of the reasons why we believe Palm will make a strong recovery. • Nokia N8-00 Symbian^3 12 MP cellphone leak

This one really is far from being confirmed and the leak, while it suggests that a really top of the line device might be forthcoming from Nokia around September, is nowhere near a confirmed report. The Nokia N8-00 cellphone which some are calling the Nokia N87 and others yet are calling the Nokia N98 seems likely to be the first Symbian^3 device to be released by Nokia. If that is not enough to get your attention then according to the leaked photos and details, it seems the Nokia N8-00 mobile phone will also feature a 12 Mega Pixel camera with auto-focus and a Xenon flash with Carl Zeiss optics. • Dell Aero announced, slimmest Android phone yet

Few details have been released of the Dell Aero Android based smart phone which we fully expect to see at the CTIA Wireless event being held in Las Vegas this week. What we do know about the Dell Aero does intrigue us, as does the undeniable similarity to the Dell Mini 3.
