Android 2.1 has arrived for the Samsung Galaxy Spica i5700 smart phone just as we reported it would in an earlier post, however it is earlier than expected. The Samsung Diva S7070 cellphone on the other hand seems to also have a Luxury Gold edition, which will definitely appeal to the segment of the market the Samsung Diva mobile phones are targeted at. We do however expect that the Luxury Gold edition of the Samsung Diva S7070 is not actually gold because that would be terribly expensive and is merely a color option. Pictures and more details below.

The Samsung Galaxy Spica i5700 smart phone comes with Android 1.6, now however Samsung has launched an update that will see it run on Android 2.1. The Android 2.1 update for the Samsung Galaxy Spica i5700 mobile phone will be available through the PC Studio 7 software that comes pre-installed on the phone but is also available for download by clicking here.
This Android 2.1 update will first arrive in Germany starting this month and then will be available in other countries at later periods.

The Samsung Diva S7070 mobile phone meanwhile is set to be available in a Luxury Gold edition. While nothing is certain yet, we speculate that the Luxury Gold edition Samsung Diva S7070 smart phone will just be a color option rather than an actual gold plated phone as it would be rather pricey if real gold were utilized.
Rumor also has it that the Samsung Diva S7070 Luxury Gold edition will c0me with a trendy handbag holder. Pricing and availability are as of yet unavailable for the Samsung Diva S7070 Luxury Gold edition cellphone.
