The Nokia N8 smart phone that was rumored then leaked and eventually even had a review of what we believe to be a pre-production prototype has now been officially announced by Nokia. The Nokia N8 is set to be the first device to use the new open source Symbian^3 operating system and will be eagerly awaited for. Symbian^3 has a lot to live up to and its competition grows stronger day by day so it will be interesting to see how well the Nokia N8 performs. (more…)

Two new Motorola phones (Motorola MT820 and Motorola ZN4) for the Chinese market were spotted recently but the picture quality was not good enough to merit a post. Now however, a new set of photos has been leaked and this one is clear enough to get a better idea of the Motorola MT820 although little to no information is as yet available regarding the tech specs for the Motorola MT820 smart phone. Touted by many as being the next big thing, perhaps even the company’s flagship phone upon revelation in a news leak, the Nokia N8 has now been reviewed and the conclusion is quite clearly that it is not an industry re-defining device, rather that the Nokia N8 is a phone that now matches up to many devices already available in the market (the Nokia N8 tested was a prototype as the N8 has not yet been launched) and has largely failed to impress the reviewer at mobile-review.com. While the other Dell leaks such as the Thunder, Lightning, Flash and Smoke were all high-end next gen phones, the Dell Aero had already been leaked earlier and is comparatively a mid-range smart phone. New details however have appeared along with confirmation for the Dell Aero, one of which is that the Dell Aero smart phone is set for a Q2 2010 release with AT&T. The Dell Aero mobile phone is expected to run on Android 1.5 although documents show that Dell plans an Android 2.1 “refresh” sometime between Q3 and Q4. (more…)

The Dell Flash is another one of Dell’s recently leaked phones planned for release in Q1 2011 with AT&T as well as globally. This one is another Android 2.2 (Froyo) device and also features the Dell Stage customizable UI. And although the name Dell Flash has nothing to do with Adobe Flash, it does feature Adobe Flash 10.1 support. The Dell Flash is a full touchscreen phone with no physical keypad or QWERTY keyboard. China is a rapidly expanding cellphone market and despite having home grown companies that are amongst the world’s largest networking, telecommunication and mobile equipment industry (Huawei and ZTE) they are lagging behind in the cellphone industry. Nokia has for several years created China-specific phones and looks to extend their market share in China with the release of the Nokia X5 and Nokia C5 smart phones. Both the Nokia C5 and X5 mobile phones feature TD-SCDMA. (more…)

The Dell Smoke might well be one of the first phones to feature Android 2.2 (Froyo) and has what Dell calls a “non-conforming style” which is essentially like a standard candy-bar form factor with the keypad replaced with a QWERTY keyboard, quite like the Palm Pixi in fact. However, the Dell Smoke is far more sleek and appears to be more distinguished with its suave glossy black finish. Considering that the Dell Smoke smart phone is one that “won’t break the bank”, according to Dell, it has a lot to offer. (more…)

Where there is Lightning, there is Thunder and the Dell Thunder is equally as impressive as the Dell Lightning. Although the Dell Thunder mobile phone is an Android 2.1 (Eclair) based device, it features Dell Stage which is a customizable user interface from Dell which looks about as good as HTC Sense UI and apparently is integrated with Facebook and Twitter to satisfy your social networking needs. But that’s not all you get with the Dell Thunder as we see below. (more…)

There has been a massive Dell mobile devices leak with lots of new cellphones, smart phones and even a tablet revealed. Looks like Dell is making up for lost time in the cellphone industry and it seems like they are ready to take on the big names in the industry with devices like the Dell Lightning. The Dell Lightning is set to be a Windows Phone 7 based device and expected to be released sometime in Q4 this year, which is pretty remarkable considering its tech specs and features! (more…)
