Microsoft’s Project Pink has finally borne fruit with the two leaked phones Microsoft Pure and Turtle set to arrive via Verizon and Vodafone. Of course they are now known as the Microsoft Kin One and Kin Two which is, lets be honest, better than owning a Turtle. In any case, this new breed of social phones are made by Sharp for Microsoft and have a whole host of new features that are sure to delight customers and indeed, even us. More below including link to the site as well as specs and pics for the Microsoft Kin One and Kin Two.

The Microsoft Kin One smart phone is pictured above and is the slightly lower spec phone of the two but still manages to pack a TFT touchscreen, QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, 3G, 4 GB of internal memory, a 5 MP camera with auto-focus and flash, capable of recording SD (Standard Definition) video and a media player powered by Zune.

The Microsoft Kin Two cellphone on the other hand has the following features in its technical details: a HVGA TFT touchscreen display, QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, 3G, 8 GB of internal storage, 8 MP camera capable of HD video recording with auto-focus and flash, Bluetooth, Zune powered media player and GPS.

However, the main attraction of the Microsoft Kin One and Microsoft Kin Two mobile phone will be the Kin services such as Kin Loop, Kin Spot and Kin Studio. All three Microsoft Kin services are available on both the Kin One and Kin Two.

The Kin Loop service is basically a social networking aggregation tool and displays updates from your friends and contacts from various social networking sites such as Facebook, Myspace and Twitter.

Kin Spot essentially allows you to share pictures with your friends or post it on to your social networking site profile.

Kin Studio is perhaps the best feature of them all and essentially creates an online storage space for you on your Kin.com page and lets you store pictures, videos, etc on it. The great thing about this is you can retrieve your data from Kin Studio even if you lose your Kin One or Kin Two smart phone.

Clearly the Kin One and Kin Two Microsoft phones are chock full of useful features but what remains to be seen is how well the public will receive them. In our opinion the Microsoft Kin One and Kin Two should go on to be great hits simple because of their features and services.
