The Google Nexus smart phone is available to customers since the fall of last year. The Google Nexus smart phone runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and has a 4.5 inch AMOLED 720 pixel High Definition display.

According to Google, this is the first time that the Google Nexus smart phone is available in unlocked form to customers in US, before that the global customers got the phone through a carrier.

As of now, the phone can be ordered online on the Google Play web store for $399 only and can run on both AT&T and T-Mobile Networks.

Don’t be surprise it has to be happened. Cyanogen worked almost a night to get the Gingerbread on his Device T-Mobile G2 and he done this. After getting this achievement  he  tweeted (see above)

Not the Cyanogen but another guy named as  Chris Soyars ,who is a member of teamdouche ,enjoy the taste ofAndroid 2.3 .He become successful by the end of yesterday  in compiling the Gingerbread AOSP source to work on the Google Nexus One and after this he made this post.

Release Date of Google Nexus S in UK

Google Nexus S will first release in UK on 20 December  at the Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy.  This phone will be ready for pre-orders on 16th December and it will be in the hand of user just after 4 days.

The price of Google Nexus S is £549.95 SIM free but it will reduce to £35  if  you enter in month deal while the phone will give to you  free of cost.

At the one end, Samsung has a plan to host a press event on 8^th November at which new Android smartphone will be uncovered. According to Gizmodo report, Nexus S will be resembled some what will Samsung Galaxy and will come with a front-facing secondary camera and a curved back. Additionally, it will be running on Android 2.3 a.k.a. Gingerbread according to some rumors as this OS is the latest and greatest than previous one.

Summarizing all rumors and news, the Google next generation handset Nexus S will come into the light on 8^th November for the Holidays season . There is no word about its price as yet.

S-LCD first called misleadingly as SuperLCD by the HTC marketing department .These are the state-of-the-art and advanced generation of LCD currently available in the market. It is supposed that S-LCD screen will provide versatile and modish display .It comes with better contrast and improved resolution as compared to previous display. It is expect that S-LCD will have wider viewing angles and it also consumer low amount of energy and power. Hopefully this screen will be a best change for the HTC mobile phones.

An employee of Panda Security discovered the problem with the HTC Magic Android based cellphone and identified not only the Mariposa botnet but also the Conficker worm and a password stealer for Lineage (an online game). As many as three thousand individual HTC Magic handsets may be affected and Vodafone has issued replacement memory cards and informed affected users on ways to get rid of the malware.

Why the memory cards bundled with the HTC Magic Android based smart phones were pre-loaded with the malware has yet to be ascertained and users are therefore urged to be cautious as this might very well be the reason the Mariposa botnet spread so rapidly and widely.

In other news, Google recently introduced new widgets for Orkut and Google Buzz, its social networking tools, for Android based cellphones. The Google Buzz and Orkut widgets should run on any Android 1.6 and higher smart phones.

While Orkut is most popular in India and Brazil, this widget for Android allows Orkut users worldwide to upload photos, get scrap notifications and also to create a friends live folder on their Android home screen that allows them to view them at any time (even with no access to the Internet).

Google Buzz on the other hand is a recent innovation and if you have it installed on your Android mobile phone, you can add the widget by going to the Menu and selecting Add, then Widgets and then choosing Google Buzz. Once installed, the Google Buzz widget for Android based phones allows users to post photos and text with just a single tap on their touchscreen.

The Orkut widget can be found on the Android marketplace by searching for Orkut and the Google Buzz application can also be found which you need installed to run the Google Buzz widget.

With the support of the Open Handset Alliance, it is clear that Android is here to stay and will receive regular updates and improvements over time. Furthermore, being open source means that even individual programmers or coders looking through its source code can submit improvements or additions for approval (as with Mozilla Firefox which made rapidly made it one of the most popular and functional browsers available).

Many smaller firms such as Innocomm and new entrants into the smart-phone market like Huawei are choosing Android as the platform for their handsets partly because it is open source and that means it is free but also because Google Android is in fact one of the better mobile platforms available in the market today.

Part of the reason why Android is so popular is because of the wide array of apps available for users to choose from, more than half of which are free to use including Google Gesture Search. Google Gesture Search made by Google Labs is, as we mentioned earlier, now compatible with Android 1.6.

The Google Nexus One smart phone which we reviewed earlier is perhaps the phone that really kicked off the Android craze and had some really interesting and high-end features besides. Now, if rumors are to be believed, there is set to be a cheaper version of the Google Nexus One mobile phone for launch in India.

As it is highly unlikely that Google will just lower the prices of the current HTC Nexus One cellphone, speculation is rife that a “toned” down version might be sold instead.

In the UK, the Google Nexus One smart phone which was set for an April launch through Vodafone UK but it might just be available sooner than that. This we think, is mainly because the Vodafone UK website now has the Google Nexus One mobile phone but as of yet it is still “coming soon” and there is no pricing data.

First of all, Opera Mini has been available for Android for quite a while now, so what has changed that we are talking about it now? Well for one thing, this release is the Opera Mini 5 Beta 2 version which sees various improvements including a download manager and a password manager too. More importantly however, with this latest release, Opera Mini has gone native for Android (similar to last week’s post where Opera Mini was made available for Windows Mobile devices and worked natively on WinMo).

What this essentially means is that by removing the dependence on Java based compatibility and running natively on Android, Opera Mini should now run faster. That is the main advantage that we can see, however tabbed browsing, speed dialing, bookmarks, saved pages, and improved compression for faster loading of pages means that the Opera Mini 5 Beta 2 mobile browser is definitely something to test out.

Symbian^3 on the other hand, first announced at the MWC 2010 in Barcelona, Spain has so far failed to wow most users because instead of creating a next-gen user experience, the Symbian Foundation is instead playing catch-up to current mobile platforms such as Android, iPhone OS, webOS, etc.

Regardless, with this demo of Symbian^3 being run on a laptop does show some promise for Symbian^3 and surely this means that an actual working Symbian^3 handset is not far now. It also gives us great hope for the future and Symbian^4.
