HP Veer Smartphone Availability and Price

HP Veer Smartphone will be available in the market this spring though we have not any information about Veer smartphones’s Pricing pattern. HP also announced HP Pre 3 today.

Though we do not see a landing page for Palm Pre 2 at Verizon site but it will be happened soon.  It is also reported that Palm Pre 2 smartphone will be start shipping on 17th February. No word about the pricing detail of Palm Pre 2 at this moment but soon we will soon inform you about it.

HP Pre 3 Smartphone Availability and Price:

HP Pre 3 Smartphone will be available in HSPA+ and CDMA Rev and will come to the market this summer. We do not have enough information about the release of this phone in the UK market.

According to pre-central.com the new devices names that will be emerged in the videos of ads areHP/Palm Broadway, Topaz and Manta.

Though the company not unveiled the names of its upcoming mobile devices yet it posted two ads on 23th December; one ad is for young fun people while other is meant for stylish ones.

Broadway is a mobile phone that will somewhat resemble with Palm Pixi 2 while Manta will be another handset that already hit the web with the codename Mantaray in November.As far as Topaz is concerned, it seems to be a Tablet PC possibly PalmPad.

We also heard that the PalmPad will be available from Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2011. We don’t know anything about the availability,price and Specs of Manta and Broadway but very soon we will update you.

Mansion will be the first smartphone from Palm ad its parent HP that features with touch screen keyboard.  The best feature of Palm Mansion is its OS that is actually company’s new WebOS 2.0 platform which is the first smartphone operating system to be based on Linux,. According to some reports, this smartphone will be launched along with PalmPad that is a tablet which is designed to compete withApple’s iPad.

Some words about the availability of Palm Mansion; according to rumormill  Mansion will be launched in February 2011.Palm Pre 2 didn’t gather that name and fame which was expected by Palm  and HP. Now we expect that this latest smartphone will come with improved features and the predecessor’s undesirable features i.e.  tiny screen and cramped keyboard will not be  in Mansion.

The HP iPAQ Glisten is although very pleasing in looks, somewhat lackluster in the quality of the display screen, the user interface and other areas. To begin with the iPAQ Glisten cellphone’s AMOLED (Acitve Matrix OLED) display is a meager 320 x 240 resolution presented on a rather smallish 2.5″ screen. Admittedly the touchscreen works as well as one expects but we found that the stylus conveniently included in the package was quite necessary as some of the button pressing is rather difficult to be done accurately with fingers.

Other technical specifications for the HP iPAQ mobile phone are pretty much what one would expect in current generation smart phones. Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g), Bluetooth 2.0, a 3.1 MP camera with 5x digital zoom, quad band GSM (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) and also UMTS (850/1900/2100) support.

Perhaps the area in which we were most disappointed by the HP iPAQ Glisten was that the operating software, Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5, was so standard. It seems that there was no effort made to specialize the software for the HP iPAQ Glisten smart-phone, rather it was just loaded in as it was. Thus the start menu, Windows Media Player, etc are all highly familiar and rather drab for it.

While we may have sounded overly critical about the HP iPAQ Glisten, we can only say that we expected more from a company with extensive experience in the hand-held market. The HP iPAQ Glisten, to conclude is a smart phone that in a highly competitive market does deliver and live up to expectations. Its performance is beyond reproach and the QWERTY keyboard on the HP iPAQ Glisten is as well designed and functional as any other cellphone available in the market.

In summary, while not a high end highly polished product, for its price and competition (such as the Samsung Intrepid and the Palm Treo Pro, the HP iPAQ Glisten is a very good deal indeed.
