Dell Thunder Android phone preview

Where there is Lightning, there is Thunder and the Dell Thunder is equally as impressive as the Dell Lightning. Although the Dell Thunder mobile phone is an Android 2.1 (Eclair) based device, it features Dell Stage which is a customizable user interface from Dell which looks about as good as HTC Sense UI and apparently is integrated with Facebook and Twitter to satisfy your social networking needs. But that’s not all you get with the Dell Thunder as we see below.

Unlike the Dell Lightning, we do not have a full technical specifications list for the Dell Thunder cellphone but we do know that it has a 4.1″ AMOLED WVGA capacitive touchscreen and an 8 MP camera with auto-focus and likely LED flash. The rest is just conjecture but we are reasonably certain that the Dell Thunder smart phone also has a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, quad-band GSM and 3G capability.

We also know that the Dell Thunder is set to have an LTE version released in Q4 of 2011 just like the Dell Lightning and the Dell Thunder is also, similarly, set to have full Flash support.

Other impressive features for the Dell Thunder mobile phone include the Swype application which is integrated into Dell Stage and makes onscreen typing a whole lot easier and an integrated Hulu application.

All in all the Dell Thunder cellphone seems to be a high-end Android device which will be expected to also have features like Wi-Fi and GPS as well as proximity and ambient light sensors along with an accelerometer, Bluetooth, USB, etc like most other Android devices.
