HTC Legend leaked on Dutch site

KPN, a Dutch landlines and mobile telecommunications company, recently allowed viewers of their site a short sneak peek at the HTC Legend Android based smart phone which is according to their site set to be released sometime in March 2010. This leak, just days before the Mobile World Conference, almost certainly confirms the name (HTC Legend) and some of the specifications that dribbled to the public through various sources and earlier leaks.

This leak, first reported by the Dutch site tweakers.net has since been confirmed and you will find above and below images of the HTC Legend cellphone.

The technical specifications that are known and speculated to be with regards the HTC Legend mobile phone are as follows: a Qualcomm MSM 7227 600 MHz processor, an AMOLED capacitive 320 x 480 px display on a 3.2″ screen, a 5 Mega Pixel camera with LED flash and auto-focus, microSD/microSDHC slot, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g) and quad band GSM as well as dual band UMTS which means 3G compatibility.

This alongside GPS/A-GPS capability nicely rounds off the specifications for the HTC Legend which looks to be a worthy successor of the HTC Hero.

The size of the HTC Legend cellphone seems to be fairly average and the processor alongside the 512 MB ROM and 256 MB RAM is sure to cope well with the expected latest release of the Android OS which means that navigation through the interface should be smooth and without lag.

Muti-touch input of course is expected and should be available out of the box for the HTC Legend as well as motion based applications and games as the HTC Legend is also expected to come equipped with an accelerometer.

And from some of the earlier leaked images we also expect that the proprietary SenseUI developed by HTC will also be featured on the HTC Legend smart phone.

To make a conclusion based on speculations and rumors is undoubtedly a rash thing to do but we will go ahead and say that the HTC Legend is sure to cause a buzz and much excitement should it be featured at the Mobile World Conference and even otherwise.
