Motorola Cliq XT or Quench Cellphone Review

Motorola has been making a decided comeback as a player in the global mobile phones market and its latest offering based on the Android mobile operating system is the Motorola Quench or Cliq XT in the United States. While the Motorola Quench or Cliq XT will not (sorry but we couldn’t resist) quench the thirsts of those looking for high end high powered extremely sophisticated smart phones, it does have a trick or two up its sleeve cover.

The Motorola Quench or Cliq XT smart phone is built around the 3.1″ display with a 320 x 480 resolution capable of displaying 65k colors. There is no physical QWERTY styled keyboard as featured in the original Motorola Cliq and therefore all the interaction with the phone is done through the touch screen.

Other technical specifications for the Motorola Quench or Cliq XT mobile phone include a 5 Mega Pixel camera with auto-focus, digital zoom and LED flash, A-GPS support with Google Maps,  microSD slot that supports up to 32 GB of expandable memory and Bluetooth.

However the defining features for the Motorola Quench or Cliq XT cellphone in our opinion are definitely the addition of Adobe Flash Lite making web surfing a definite trump card, MOTOBLUR (which is an application developed by Motorola for the Android OS which syncs information from your inbox and various social networking sites to display relevant information in an easy to view and access form on your home page) and of course the noise canceling technology first seen in the Google Nexus One and Motorola Droid or Milestone smart phones.

To conclude, we believe that the Motorola Quench or Cliq XT smart phone while not quite so cutting edge as the Motorola Milestone/Droid will still be fairly successful. This is mainly because the Motorola Quench or Cliq XT mobile phone has some very interesting features and perhaps more importantly useful and functional features that are sure to captivate the masses though not perhaps the high end users.
