Motorola H17txt with MotoSpeak Bluetooth Headset preview

Cellphone makers have time and again cautioned users from using their mobile phones while driving, or trying to reduce the distraction of a phone with the introduction of hands-free devices such as wireless Bluetooth headsets. Motorola has done its part and is now going one step further by introducing the Motorola H17txt Bluetooth headset available as of now at Verizon stores across the US. This latest hands-free device comes with MotoSpeak, a text-to-voice converter that reads out your text messages to you amongst other things.

Combined with an application made for MotoSpeak enabled headsets such as the Motorola H17txt which will be available on multiple platforms including Android and available in their respective apps marketplaces, the Motorola H17txt is capable of reading out the name of the sender as well as the contents of text messages so that you can concentrate on your driving.

In addition to that you can also set up automated responses (customizable) to send out to people while your Motorola H17txt is plugged in so that they may know not to disturb you while you are driving.

The four main features according to Motorola for the Motorola H17txt are Easy On, Incoming Text Message Sender ID, Auto-Response Message and its capability to translate over 150 acronyms such as lol, l8r, etc.

Easy On is fairly simple, every time your Motorola H17txt headset is activated, text messages will automatically be read out.

The Incoming Text Message Sender ID feature simply lets you know who the text message was sent by enabling you to gauge its degree of importance and whether or not it might merit a response.

The Auto-Response Message feature lets you set up a customizable message that will automatically be sent to anyone who sends you a text message while your Motorola H17txt Bluetooth Headset is activated.

The Motorola H17txt Bluetooth headset with MotoSpeak also allows you to hear turn-by-turn directions only through your headset in case you do not want other occupants of the car to be bothered. In addition to that, voice prompts will update you on the battery level, how to connect your Motorola H17txt with MotoSpeak for the first time, mute status and other things.

And of course the Motorola H17txt Bluetooth headset with MotoSpeak also does all the things a regular headset lets you do.
