The title of the article might sound a bit weird to you, but yes its true, British Airways recently illustrated how they could use the new Nokia Lumia 800 as a boarding pass rather the conventional paper based boarding pass.
The Windows powered phone Nokia Lumia has already made a sound mark in the market since its launch. Users generally have a positive eye for the new Windows powered and that too for a Nokia phone after a long time. Also, if we look at the general reviews of Nokia Lumia 800 over Twitter and Facebook for the earliest quarter this year, we do see that majority of the users have given a positive word of mouth.
And probably, this has actually created an impact on the management of the British Airways. In one of their campaigns as to cell phones could be used as boarding pass for flight passengers, Nokia Lumia 800 was used as their demo device. This sort of free hype creation or publicity was previously received by Apple (considering iPhone as the best smart phone) or Blackberry. But now, we guess its time for Nokia to fly.
The British Airways app allows flight passengers to check in, get information and flight details, purchase and book tickets online through the app and upgrade their existing deals. As of now, the app by British Airways is available on Apple App store, Google Pay Store, Blackberry App World and Windows Phone Market.
However, out of all smart phone manufacturing brands, British Airways took Nokia along, and we say that it just might be a starting launch to the flight of success.
