Philips X809 cellphone preview

This Philips phone is as yet unannounced but we do have some information on its features and capabilities. The Philips X809 cellphone is set to be a dual-SIM phone and will be part of the Xenium lineup and therefore may be expected to have better than ordinary standby and talk time. Below you will find pictures as well as a more complete list of initial technical specifications or details for the Philips X809 mobile phone as expected to be when the phone is finally released later this year.

The Philips X809 Xenium cellphone is quite like the Philips X605 which also is a mid-range touchscreen phone.

The technical details for the Philips X809 Xenium mobile phone include the following features: a TFT resistive touchscreen likely with QVGA resolution, microSD supporting up to 8 GB of expandable memory, Bluetooth, miniUSB, 5 MP camera with auto-focus and LED flash and triple band GSM (900/1800/1900 MHz) for both SIM cards.

The Philips X809 Xenium cellphone features a 1050 mAh Li-Ion battery that provides 8 hours of talk time or 400 hours of standby time.

Clearly the Philips X809 is not a pioneering device but it looks to be well designed, has pleasant aesthetics and provides modest features and does not claim to be more than it is. We suspect that people who prefer reliable unassuming devices will like the Philips X809 over other flashier phones.
