Samsung Galaxy S I9000 Cellphone Preview

Samsung recently announced their latest Android based handset, the Samsung I9000 Galaxy S which looks set to be their flagship Android phone. Not only are its features top notch but it will also be among the first few phones to be DivX HD certified and capable of 720p video playback. Of course the first DivX HD certified phone is set to be the Samsung S8500 Wave smart phone which may now be pre-ordered at various online stores in the UK and in Germany. The Samsung I9000 Galaxy S mobile phone though looks to be awhile in hitting store shelves if “available soon” is anything to go by.

The technical specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S I9000 smart phone are truly impressive even without the DivX HD certification. The more prominent features for the Samsung Galaxy S I9000 cellphone include a 4″ WVGA Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, a 1 GHz processor (which we believe is Samsung’s own rather than a Qualcomm Snapdragon or an ARM chip), a 5 MP camera capable of recording 720p HD video at 30 FPS, 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 3.0 and A-GPS.

This running on an Android 2.1 based custom UI (looks like TouchWiz interface) which enables the Samsung Galaxy S I9000 mobile phone access to over 30,000 unique applications at the Android marketplace combined with Samsung’s unique Social Hub and Layar Reality browser (an augmented reality application) pre-loaded make it beyond any doubt as full of features as any one could ask for.

The Samsung Galaxy S I9000 is set to be available soon which could mean anything from this quarter to anytime next year, however the Samsung Galaxy S I9000 is a cellphone that we are actually pinning our hopes on and hope that it will not disappoint whenever it is released.
