Samsung i909 Galaxy S comes with GSM and CDMA/EV-DO connectivity

Samsung has added a new member to its Galaxy series –Samsung i909 Galaxy S.  Samsung hasn’t announced this phone as yet but it is said that this phone is designed for Chinese market only. The phone is carried by China telecom that already has Samsung Wave for distributing in china and this phone will not be handed to any other carriers outside China. It means Samsung want to compete with Nokia and Motorola in the China market by introducing this phone. Samsung I909 provides support to both GSM and CDMA/EV-DO connectivity.

The features of Galaxy i909 are resembles with Samsung i897 captivate that has already launched in Europe and North America.  The handset is expected to release in China in the third quarter .Samsung Galaxy S i909 has featured with 4.0 inches, 16M colors Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen that comes with the resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. It combines various exciting facets such as TouchWiz 3.0 UI, Multi-touch input method, accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, touch-sensitive controls, proximity sensor for auto turn-off and Swype text input.

The measured dimensions of Samsung i909 phone are 123 x 64.2 x 10.8 mm whereas its weight is 121 g. The storage power of phone is 16GB storage and 32GB expandable memory. For the connectivity purpose, it has Wi-Fi , 3G  and Bluetooth and similar options are available with Samsung Acclaim.

.It is loaded with ARM Cortex A8 1GHz processor and runs on Android OS, v2.1 (Eclair). The phone integrates with  5MP snapper , the resolution of which is  2592 x 1944 pixels and other facets of this snapper are Geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, autofocus and 720p@30fps  video recording.

Samsung i909 Galaxy S phone has endowed with Social networking integration, Digital compass,MP4player,MP3 player, TV-out, organizer, Image/video editor, Document editor (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF), Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Calendar, Google Talk, Picasa integration, Flash Lite v3.1 and voice memo/dial/commands.
