Samsung M3710 Corby Beat review, out now

The Samsung Corby line of phones is rapidly expanding with the Samsung M3710 Corby Beat mobile phone now available in markets. While the Samsung M3710 Corby Beat cellphone is pretty much an entry level touchscreen phone, it does have a few new features such as the Game Store from which you may download J2ME games for your entertainment. Also, people familiar with the Samsung Lindy will find the Samsung M3710 Corby Beat mobile phone uncannily similar to it.

The technical specifications for the Samsung M3710 Corby Beat mobile phone include a 2.8″ QVGA capacitive touchscreen, 3 MP camera, 3.5 mm audio jack, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g), 50 MB internal memory, microSD slot, Bluetooth, microUSB, FM radio and quad-band GSM.

Unlike the Samsung Lindy, however, Samsung M3710 Corby Beat cellphone lacks 3G capability which we believe will be a big miss for many Samsung M3710 Corby Beat users.

With the ToucWiz UI layered over Samsung’s own proprietary OS, the Samsung M3710 Corby Beat does not boast the best mobile platform but it is stable and reliable and those are key features to any operating system.

It seems the trend is generally shifting towards entry level touchscreen phones for manufacturers given the number of Cookies and Corbys like the Samsung M3710 Corby Beat popping up all over the place.

Regardless, the Samsung M3710 Corby Beat is a decent enough entry level smart phone with the advantage of the Game Store although some might prefer the HTC Smart for its Sense UI or the LG Cookie line for its fun user interface and social networking integration.
