Samsung Rugby II Mobile Phone Review

The Samsung Rugby II is a new military standard 810F compliant device set to be launched by AT&T on June the 6th (same data as the LG Vu Plus). This of course means that the Samsung Rugby II will be able to withstand shocks, dust, vibration, humidity and rain, solar radiation, temperature and altitude extremes. Other than that the Samsung Rugby II A847 cellphone is a push to talk device that also features 3G connectivity.

The Samsung Rugby II PTT cellphone has the following technical specifications and features: 2.2″ main display with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, 2 MP camera, Bluetooth, microSD slot for expandable memory, aGPS, quad-band GSM and dual band 3G connectivity.

The Samsung Rugby II smart phone features a voice processor developed by Audience that improves voice quality and reduces and filters noise to provide clearer call quality. This combined with the large external speakers on the Samsung Rugby II cell phone make for easier PTT conference calling.

The Samsung A847 Rugby II is a clamshell design flip phone that also features Mobile Resource Management applications that may be beneficial for employers wishing to track or monitor employee activities and could be used to improve productivity.

The Samsung Rugby II mobile phone will be available for $129.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate for a 2 year contract from AT&T stores near you.
