Sony Ericsson Spiro Walkman phone preview

The other Sony Ericsson Walkman phone revealed recently was the Sony Ericsson Spiro. Although this one is slightly lower end than the Sony Ericsson Zylo we covered earlier, it will perhaps appeal to more people as it features a 3.5 mm audio jack and therefore gives people the freedom to connect different headphones and indeed even speakers to this handset. Like the Zylo, the Sony Ericsson Spiro is also set for a Q3 release, will be an affordable phone and features human curvature design and an ergonomic keyboard, more below.

The Sony Ericsson Spiro cellphone has the following technical specifications: a 2.2″ QVGA TFT screen, microSD for up to 16 GB expandable memory, 2 MP camera, Bluetooth, torch functionality, FM radio, microUSB and dual-band GSM capable of GPRS/EDGE connectivity.

Like the Zylo, the Sony Ericsson Spiro mobile phone also has social networking apps including Facebook and Twitter and comes preloaded with an Obigo Q7 web browser.

The Sony Ericsson Spiro cellphone also features TrackID which enables you to find out details regarding a track such as the title and singer if you are unsure or they are missing.

Unfortunately, unlike the Zylo, the Sony Ericsson Spiro Walkman phone does not feature FLAC compatibility but it is a Walkman phone and features the unique Sony Ericsson Walkman music player.

With no GPS, Wi-Fi, touchscreen, accelerometer or 3G the Sony Ericsson Spiro is clearly a budget phone. On the other hand the Sony Ericsson Spiro mobile phone will be available in some fun colors including Contrast Black, Sunset Pink, Spring Green and Stealth Black.
