Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 updates is scheduled on October

Sony Ericsson has decided to provide the Android 2.1 updates for their XPERIA lineup. This update is scheduled to start from the end of October and you will access it before November. It is announced that this update will bring the upgraded Mediascape and Timescape applications for these XPERIA mobile phones.

What you will get through this Android 2.1 update on XPERIA X10:

  • The existing OS platform will be converted to the latest Android 2.1.
  • You will enjoy HD video recording along with continuous auto-focus facility in the snapper.
  • The user will get the extended content back up  as this update will introduce New back up and restore application
  • 5 homescreens for apps, widgets, shortcuts and folders
  • Social phonebook make it possible for you to automatically sync the pictures with your Facebook and thereby share it online with your friends

We expect some good things that will be available with  the XPERIA X10 and XPERIA mini pro:

  • The present OS will transform to the Android 2.1
  • You will be better able to send and receive files , photos , contacts etc via improved Bluetooth functionality
  • Extended back up of content will be attained through new backup and restore application.
  • You will  be able to share your pictures online with your Facebook friends just because of automatic synchronization of contact pictures with Facebook
  • You will get the improved ways of handling pictures, audio, text and numbers in your messages

This update will start in the end of October but it will not roll out immediately to everyone. Sony Ericsson has a plan to make it available to all however in stages, strictly phone dependent (carrier, country, language).
