Alright so we haven’t yet had the chance to test this one out but it seems (according to the official Sony Ericsson blog) that there is an update available for the Sony Ericsson Satio it seems that the Sony Ericsson Satio will now be able to record videos in WVGA as well doing some other rather simple things that makes one wonder why they were not available for the phone out of the box. Regardless, users of the Sony Ericsson Satio smart phone will rejoice, especially those prone to using Facebook and YouTube.
The Sony Ericsson Satio, for those who do not know, is a smart phone that was first announced at the MWC in 2009 and has some very interesting features including a 12.1 MP camera with Xenon flash and video LED flash, a 3.5″ resistive TFT touchscreen, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, Bluetooth and 3G connectivity (HSPA class).
The Sony Ericsson Satio cellphone which comes bundled with an 8 GB microSD card has support for up to 32 GB expandable memory.
Many were excited about the Sony Ericsson Satio mobile phone and rightly so for its technical specifications and features are (even today) pretty impressive but the phone released in the UK suffered from some problems due mainly to carrier modifications to the UI and software.
The use of Symbian too put no few people off of the Sony Ericsson Satio cellphone but this latest update from Sony Ericsson promises some interesting new features.
The update for the Sony Ericsson Satio smart phone available through the Update Service client includes the following new features: WVGA recording (864 x 480 pixels), the option to upload pictures to Facebook directly from the picture menu and videos to Youtube from the media menu, DLNA support, UI improvements and the Facebook application is also available in the update.
